Community Music

Lessons are available in the following areas:
Violin,  Piano, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, and Voice

Students have the opportunity to study with professional teaching artists who possess advanced degrees in music and/or significant professional teaching and performing experience. Apprentice teachers are qualified UMD music majors who have completed methods and or pedagogy courses relevant to their specific discipline and have demonstrated evidence of effective teaching. Select Department of Music faculty may also be available upon request.

Performance opportunities take place on and off campus. A variety of studio recitals, community outreach performances, and Weber Hall concerts occur throughout the year.
