Mrs. Lemire graduate from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 1981 with a B.A.S. degree. She is the solo harpist with the Duluth Superior Orchestra and the Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra, and the Festival Orchestra. Being one of the area's most active performing harpist, Mrs. Lemire often plays solo and ensemble performances in Duluth and surrounding areas in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Canada. She is an adjunct faculty at the University of Minnesota Duluth, the University of Wisconsin-Superior, and at the College of St. Scholastica. She studied the harp with nationally known harpist, Kathy Kienzle, and continues Suzuki training and pedagogy with Mary Kay Waddington. Mrs. Lemire has been the director of the Lake Superior Suzuki Talent Education Program since 1993. She also maintains a private teaching studio of traditional and Suzuki students and has been invited to be a guest clinician for summer institutes in Colorado, Utah, and Wisconsin.
