Self-Assessment
At this point you should have a general understanding of the required courses that you will need to complete, have a list of potential courses you would like to enroll in during your first semester at UMD (possibly already in your Shopping Cart), and feel ready to register.
Completion of the Action Steps on each of the previous pages and review of the videos under Degree Requirements, APAS, and Looking up Classes will help you feel prepared and will collect the necessary information for your upcoming advising appointment.
Advising Appointment
Remember to check your official UMD Gmail account frequently so that you do not miss important information or changes leading up to your scheduled advising & registration appointment.
During the appointment, your advisor will talk more about how any previous courses may have transferred, will review your required classes, and will offer assistance pertaining to registration.
Please follow the link (at the bottom of this page) to information about Registering, but note that until you have had your advising appointment, there will be a New Student Registration Hold on your record that prevents you from fully completing the Registration process on your own.
