UMD Voyageurs

The UMD Voyageurs use interactive performance techniques to engage children and adolescents about serious issues. Working in consultation with doctors, nutritionists, social workers, teachers, and parents, the Voyageurs use a lighthearted and appealing music theatre approach to deal with current issues faced by today’s youth.

Performed in schools and community resource centers across the state of Minnesota, shows such as Pirates of the Carrot Bean have captivated children and parents alike with the energy and drama of musical performance. Voyageurs is a great example of how the CLA community practices its mission of serving the community while using art as a medium for civic engagement and education.
