EXPERIENCE OUR PROGRAM. We invite you to join the many UMD students who have found that studying music at UMD is more than an education.

UMD Music graduates go on to become creative and productive teachers, performers, composers, arrangers and studio musicians. In order to broaden your educational experience, we offer cultural opportunities for our ensembles to travel internationally. Our ensembles have traveled to and performed in Panama, France, Brazil, Netherlands & Germany.

Our faculty have performed and conducted nationally and internationally in some of the most prestigious venues and with some of the most renowned musical groups in the world. We are passionate about training Department of Music students to succeed, in the classroom and on stage.
