SHAPE THE FUTURE. “The past is not dead, it is living in us, and will be alive in the future which we are now helping to make” –William Morris

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) program in Art History invites students to explore visual culture from an interdisciplinary and global perspective. Art history majors and minors learn how to describe, analyze and interpret art and artifacts from prehistory to the present. Faculty mentors collaborate closely with students to ensure academic success. The program’s focus on critical thinking, research, and written and verbal expression prepares students for work in a variety of cultural institutions, as well as graduate programs in art history and other areas of the humanities.

GPA of at least 2.00 in the major field required for graduation.
